Our mission
Together AI was founded on the promise of open innovation — helping AI‑native builders create groundbreaking products and experiences across every domain. From day one, we’ve believed that progress happens faster when the tools to build are open and when AI research can quickly be converted into products to deliver faster and better end-user experiences.
In an ecosystem often divided between closed systems and open experimentation, we intentionally chose the open path. Many frontier AI application builders want customization and control — so they can more effectively control the experience for their users as well as manage unit economics as their apps see massive adoption. Additionally, with the field moving so swiftly and new models and technical breakthroughs coming every month, if not every week, these builders need a way to quickly integrate those into their workflows.
Together AI is the AI Native Cloud and exists to be the perfect backend for AI-native builders — offering them all the building blocks, from powerful open-source models and frontier hardware to research innovations at speed and scale. As the field continues to rapidly evolve, our systems research lab, the best in the world, ensures we are delivering the best techniques for our customers to get more from their hardware and models — helping them continuously improve performance and reduce costs. AI-native leaders like Cursor and Decagon are building on Together AI and seeing gains in performance and unit economics driven by our research to product pipeline.
New look
Our new look is grounded in our ecosystem approach to AI and how new possibilities take place when different pieces connect. We have designed our platform in a way that brings together open-source innovation, breakthrough systems research and developer experience across the full AI lifecycle, from pre-training to inference, all in one place. We worked with Pentagram, a leading design agency, to come up with a new visual language that expresses connectedness — how we bring research, infrastructure, and builders together to unlock new possibilities.
The new brand expresses the belief that new possibilities take form when knowledge moves freely, when the tools built are open and when the scale is shared. At Together AI, we’re building a platform where research expands the frontier, and the product platform brings it within reach. It’s a place where small teams wield big power, and where “what if” becomes “what’s next.”
